We have unlocked the missing piece. I will start with that. Because when you don’t have all the information, trying to cure someone of an illness that has a whole other part to it not being addressed— it means you’re just chasing your own tail.
Anica got a dual diagnosis this week.
We didn’t know
It was the piece we were missing.
Essentially her brain is telling her to attack herself. I am not talking about auto immune; which is what everyone thinks eczema is.
What she’s been going through with her brain has essentially caused a psychotic break from the degree of unaddressed suffering she was enduring, all while we were only trying to target her skin alone as the issue.
But now that we know it has given us a power to start treating all of her and not just the parts we could see.
Every single professional who is seeing her has literally said they believe she can make a full recovery but that it is a very hard road.
Feels like a big promise for anyone to be making since this has been going on for so long, but they are telling us this definitively and so we are leaning on their promises. While we are weary and exhausted; we are hopeful.
She started a brain treatment last Friday. She is in intensive therapy every day this week. She just started two medications that they believe will help and thank god one of them is helping her finally sleep.
She’s had compounded months upon months of sleep deprivation and finally seeing her rest the last two nights has felt like its own miracle.

I have to update the gofundme since the plan has become clear, its also changed.
If anyone cannot donate, there is another way you can help by contacting even just 2-5 businesses, philanthropic groups, radio stations, etc. etc. to help us get it out there and follow up to fundraise in a more powerful way. I have crafted a proposal, a How-To, and a way to track so its very easy plug and play to make it easy for whomever feels they could do that instead of donate.
Its time for us to go bigger to get Anica through this climb.
